[googlefont=Inconsolata] As she stopped to catch her breath, she looked back to see exactly how far she had run. Katie ran daily, trying her best to stay in shape even through the off season. Of course, it was the "on" season right now, but she still felt the need to keep up the routine. She was a creature of habit, after all. She woke up in the morning, ran as far as her legs could take her, then ran back, pushing herself as much as possible. Afterwards, she had a protein shake, something her muggle personal trainer had told her was a good call, and then ate breakfast. Usually oatmeal, sometimes she went all out and made eggs. After a shower and a lazy read of the prophet she usually went to see what was going on at the market, tried to have lunch with a friend - or ate out, but on her own - and then headed to practice. After practice, it was dinner with a teammate or leanne, then yoga, then bed. It was a routine. Routine worked for Katie.
It was how she got through physiotherapy when she was at st mungos; teaching her body to do things again meant repetition. the number of times she moved through the same halls, made the same arm motion, squeezed the same ball...
it made her healthy again, but it was one of the most trying times of katie's whole life. Breathless from the run, she put the thoughts from her mind. Swiping a stray blonde hair from her forehead, she started her journey back. It started as a walk, because she needed a moment to compose herself. It wasn't long before something on the street distracted her, though, and Katie stopped paying attention to the direction she was headed - which led her to crash directly into someone moving the other way. So much for routine. "Sorry, I should be paying better attention" I'M GIVING UP ON YOU
