Luca has a strong jawline and has a slightly round, somewhat elongated face shape. Luca also has blue eyes that look almost gray whenever he stands in the light. Due to his nature as a metamorphmagus, Luca can change his appearance at will, so his eye color and hair style change from time to time, depending on his mood. Sometimes, if he’s angry, his eyes will turn a dark amber color, or if he’s utterly happy, his eyes will turn to a soft, warm brown color. If he’s jealous, his eyes will turn a bright shade of emerald, and when he’s aroused, his eyes turn a deeper blue color.

He finds that to be weak and shameful, so he tries to tackle on problems himself. Although that’s caused him a great deal of stress and he ends up getting frustrated in the process that affects his metamorphagus abilities. Often times, he might appear aloof, detached even, to others, although generally, he’s usually amicable, and he doesn’t boast about his grades like some Ravenclaw students do.

[attr="class","historybox"]Luca was born a Metamorphagus on January 24th to pure-blood parents, Euan, also a Metamorphmagus, and Ciana Barnett. Both of Luca's parents are alums of Ravenclaw, and as such, they expected their youngest son to carry on the Barnett family legacy in Ravenclaw, just like Luca's older brother, Marc Euan Barnett, who had already graduated from Hogwarts several years before. Luca's mother was especially strict on Luca, always chiding at him and fretting over Luca's grades every time Luca went back home for the holidays. His mother also disapproved of Luca’s mischievous personality because he kept changing his ability every so often to prank the other family members. Due to Luca’s father being a Metamorphmagus, Luca inherited the ability from his father and possessed a natural talent for changing his appearance at will, an ability that Luca’s father praised so highly since there were so few Metamorphagi around.

While growing up, Luca had a relatively happy childhood, even with his mother being strict on him, but deep inside, Luca felt suppressed in the wealthy Barnett household. There was something missing, and he didn’t like the fact that his parents were pushing at him to follow in the family’s footsteps in arithmancy. A family of Ravenclaws. A family of prestigious and intelligent arithmancers. Just like that, Luca was expected to carry on the family legacy and become another arithmancer, just as his brother Marc did.

But Luca had other goals in mind. Oh no, he aspired to be an Auror, something that his parents highly disapproved of because of the dangers that the job brought. Nonetheless, Luca was determined to work extremely hard in the wizarding school, but he wasn't going to do it just for his parents. Seb, however, still loved Luca very strongly and pursued after him, trying to convince him to at least listen to his reason why he was with the Death Eaters. But Luca didn’t listen-wouldn’t dare listen-to what he was saying and tried to avoid Sebastien at all times. Finally, Sebastien cornered Luca and drugged him before dragging him off to a secret room in Hogwarts. Once he woke up, Luca tried to escape from Seb’s grasp, but Sebastien stunned him with a charm, temporarily paralyzing him and disarming his wand.

All this time, Sebastien had been acting as an inside man? Now Luca was utterly angry at himself for falling for that deceptive smile of his. No wonder Seb was so sweet to him. No wonder he was so friendly with the others in the D.A. He was just manipulating them, just as he did with Luca.
