Set-Up Guide

These are found in the first tab under 'Edit Profile'. Make sure you have the Uploaded/Link option selected. We use 150x150 for our avatar sizes, but it really doesn't matter as long as it's a perfect square. Your avatar must be a gif of your face claim, we say gifs because gifs just look nicer. If you cannot find a gif or do not know how to make one there may be other members willing to help (ex: Frankie). Try to stay away from any images from Fanpop, they don't work with Proboards.

Display names, and the rest of the sections of your mini-profile, will be found under he second tab when editing your profile. We require the first and last names (or just first for certain characters (Spock, Sarek, etc.)). We do not want nicknames, preferred names, or middle names. Correct example: James Kirk. Incorrect example: Jim Kirk, James T Kirk, Jimmy, Captain Kirk, etc. (Yes, I am aware this is Star Trek)

Your signature can pretty much be whatever you want it to be as long as it follows our image rules and relates to your character. The content may not exceed 500x400 pixels, otherwise it just gets too big.
✦H O V E R I M A G E
We do not require this to be a gif, though it can be one if you wish. The dimensions for this image are 230x400, but it doesn't matter as long as it can be scaled down. All we need is the direct url, kind of like with the avatar if you chose the url option. Keep it as your face claim and away from Fanpop. Fanpop is a bad disease, we don't want it here.

Place the link of your character's application in the text field AFTER it has been accepted and moved to the right directory (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, or Adult.).

There can only be one plot page per character. Just slap the url/link into the text field once you're done.

Look at the previous one and change 'plot page' to 'thread tracker'.

There will be a drop down list with many choices for you to choose from. PM Frankie if you need help choosing the perfect one or if you want an option to be added.

Put in the name you wished to be called by. YOU, not your character.

Lastly, there is an option for you to put in a song that will appear on your mini profile. For this you will need a link to a music file that ends with .mp3 you can upload a song from your computer to certain sites. An easy way to do this is to download a song from youtube. Go to youtube, but then got to www.youtube-mp3.org/ in another tab. Copy the link to the video you want and past it in the text box on the Youtube to MP3 page. Hit convert, then hit the download text under the image of the video. You may then upload the song to kiwi6.com. You can create an account there (it only takes a few seconds) and then go to Share and copy the 'Direct Hotlink' and paste it into your Music Player field on this site. Again, if this is confusing to you and/or you can't figure it out, then just contact a staff member with the song that you would like added and we will help.
