^^^ You should probably listen to that while you read. ^^^ Bonding With A Ravenclaw Emma yawned and smiled, stretching her arms out as the morning Sun greeted Emma's brown orbs. She looked at her feet, which was where her kitten, Midnight was curled up, looking like a black fuzz ball. Emma sighed and sat up, carefully taking the sleeping kitten and placed him on Emma's pillow, where he continued to sleep. Emma kissed Midnight's furry little head and got up, going to the end of her bed, where she opened up her trunk. It was late afternoon, about three or four o'clock. She didn't normally sleep this late, but it was very believable.Emma had stayed up the whole night studying hard for the Divination test that Professor Trelawney was giving to them next week. Well, at least Emma knew the planetary alignments by heart. Emma then got dressed in a dark grey blouse with a blue plaid jumper and black leggings, and she grabbed her wand, her Transfiguration spell book, and her Charms book, before skipping downstairs. No one was around, thank Merlin, to see her skip, so that's why she was doing it. Once she exited the Common Room, she saw that the halls were empty. She guessed they were outside. So Emma, knowing that she was alone, couldn't help but hum a song she was learning in Muggle Music, Four Seasons,by Vivaldi. She was in love with it. So as she hummed and skipped, she passed Ravenclaw Tower, and stopped for a moment as she passed a particularly nasty group of Ravenclaws that always had something to say about Emma's appearance. "Look, girls," Said one. "It's Emmalia. Why are you wearing blue? Wishing you were in Ravenclaw? Maybe then you wouldn't disappoint your family as much." They finished, all of them laughing, and Emma picked up her pace.
Emma honestly hated how horrid everyone was to her, but who wouldn't feel that way. The silent tears streaming But in Emma's hurry to get away from Ravenclaw Tower, she bumped into a tall Ravenclaw boy,who looked about a year older than Emma. "S-Sorry!" Emma exclaimed. Then she ran past him, but didn't realize that she had dropped her Transfiguration book. Well, it was a book for someone in their seventh year. Jensen had given it to Emma the Summer following his leave from Hogwarts, and she had been studying it ever since. Thirty minutes later Emma was outside.
She began to slow her pace and walk towards the lake, enjoying the scenery. And Emma had been right, almost everyone was outside, but scattered amongst the Grounds. There were people playing a game of Quidditch at the Pitch, and people chatting and hanging out with their friends. That's something Emma wished she had; friends. After lots and lots of walking, Emma reached the one place that wasn't packed full of people, the Lake. She smiled to herself, drying the remaining tears on her cheeks. Emma absolutely loved practicing her magic. It was one of the things making Emma happy.
She sat down against a mangrove-like tree, with its roots in the water, that was sitting by the lakeside. Her back holding her up against the tree Emma got a good grasp on her wand before closing her eyes, preparing to do the thing that made her truly happy. Casting her Patronus. Emma thought of the moment her and her father spent at the muggle pier while she and him were on vacation in London. They had rode the London Eye, made each other's faces messy with pink, fluffy cotton candy. It was the last truly happy memory she had.
Soon, Emma felt she was ready to cast the Patronus, so she gave her wand a little wave, a grin on her face, as she exclaimed the words to the spell. "Expecto Patronum!" Emma yelled with a laugh in remembrance of the happy, happy memory. Then, A surge of silver mist shot out of the tip of the 11", Willow wood, and phoenix tail feather wand, and soon turned into a large, roaring, male lion. She giggled as the lion ran around Emma, making her genuinely grin from ear to ear. The lion then brushed against Emma, though she didn't feel it. Emma was truly happy for the first time in a long time, any one could see that.

[attr="class","akipostywooh3"]Slipping off the rather drab-looking dark cape that students were required to wear during classes, Luca folded it neatly over his left arm, as he gripped the Herbology book to his chest with the same arm. Dressed in a navy blue v-neck sweater over a white button-up collared shirt and dark midnight slacks, Luca was wearing the colors of his Ravenclaw house, although the colors were much more subtle. As the lithe male strolled down the hall, Luca’s free hand snaked up to the top of his navy blue tie, his nimble fingers tugging at it until it loosened up a bit as the ends of the tie fluttered lightly against his chest. Since he had some free time in between his Herbology and Potions class, Luca decided he would lounge about in the common room and write a letter to Sebastien. A light, easy-going smile was blooming upon his lips as his eyes briefly flashed a bright blue color, excitement bubbling up in the back of his mind as he strolled towards the stairs that would lead up to the Ravenclaw tower. Oh, how exciting the life of an Auror must be, he mused to himself as he wondered what the training must be like. He always wanted to be an Auror, even though that was against his family’s wishes of him wanting to go into Arithmancy. Bah! Arithmancy’s boring. By Merlin, how Brother even endures it is a miracle in itself.
As he neared the corner, the soft girlish chatter and giggling met Luca’s ears as he approached the Ravenclaw tower. A small cluster of girls were shuffling out of the Ravenclaw tower just as the same time a petite brunette was making her way past the Ravenclaw tower. Curious, Luca balanced himself on the heels of his boots, a finely groomed eyebrow perking up as he slowed his steps towards the small group of girls. As he approached the girls, his ears caught the rather vicious and biting barbs the Ravenclaw girls threw towards the young Malfoy girl.
Goodness. Girls were scary these days, being all cutthroat and all. Glancing towards the Malfoy girl, Luca noticed that her eyes were starting to brim up with tears, and immediately, a protectiveness came over the older student. Maybe it was because he didn’t like seeing girls cry. Or maybe it was because he rather disliked how most of the Ravenclaw students carried themselves with such a haughty way, priding themselves better than everyone else. Nonetheless, no one should ever have to be treated in such a way as the girl had been.
And so, he strode forward quickly, opening his mouth to speak, until the very Malfoy girl scurried away and bumped right into him, the girl’s head ramming hard against his chest. In the middle of the collision, Luca slightly stumbled to the side as he then heard the distinct thudding sound of a textbook hitting the floor. Glancing towards the source of the sound, Luca bent to pick up the Transfiguration book, calling out towards the girl, “Wait, you dropped your-” But the girl had already rushed past him, the girl sniffling softly as she mumbled an apology for bumping into him. Sighing, Luca pursed his lips as he straightened up and looked over the book in his free hand before glancing over at the retreating back of the girl as the cluster of Ravenclaw girls continued on their way, laughing. Frowning, Luca then swiftly turned on his heel, jogging lightly as he darted off in the direction Emmalia had left.
Passing through the stairs and avoiding bumping into other students took a bit of maneuvering as he looked over the top of the other students’ heads, trying to catch a sight of Emmalia. Then he glanced towards the large windows, where he saw the brunette girl walking briskly across the grounds. “Ah. She’s headed for the lake,” Luca breathed out softly as he then rushed through the corridors, striding quickly across the courtyard before he reached the lake, where he found the girl standing by a tree near the shores of the lake. Slowing his advance, Luca came to a pause as he tilted his head in curiosity, watching the girl withdraw her wand from the depths of her pocket. Then he heard the familiar chant, ‘Expecto Patronum!’ before a glowing silverish image of a lion rose out of the wand tip and danced around the girl.
Chuckling softly, Luca stepped forward as he called out, giving a light nod towards the lion which swooshed around him. “Nice Patronus you’ve got there.” He grinned as he watched the lion vanish into thin air. “Emmalia, right?” Luca held up the Transfiguration book in the air as he came closer towards the girl. He had heard the other girls call out her name, so he figured that was her name. “You dropped this, by the way, when you ran into me.” As he handed the book over to her, Luca glanced around the lake, taking in a deep breath as he smelled the fresh scent of the trees around him. “Do you usually go here often? To practice your magic?” He asked, glancing over to Emmalia as he then stepped to the side, putting aside his book and uniform cape before flexing his hands. In a blink of an eye, his hair changed a sudden shade of silver as his eyes flashed a bright blue, the metamorphmagus student grinning before his hair and eyes resumed to their normal hues.

Bonding With A Ravenclaw
Emmalia gasped and spun around to face the person addressing her. The patronus detriorated quickly, and Emma stumbled back, before falling onto her bum. "Ouch." She muttered, standing back up and dusting off her skirt, and leggings. She looked back to the person addressing her. He looked in his seventh year, and he was a Ravenclaw. "Oh, have th-those girls sent y-you to t-tease me mo-more?" Emma asked him. He said that she had a nice Patronus, the lion Patronus, which had now gone. "Th-Thanks." Emma stuttered, pushing a lock of brown hair behind her ears, nervously looking down.
When the boy asked if her name was Emmalia, Emma nodded, letting out the breath, the one that she hadn't known she had been holding in the first place. She took a moment a silence before she finally spoke, the awkward, silent tension making Emma want to choke. "Umm, I pre-prefer E-Emma, though." She told the older student, gulping, and shifting onto her other foot, the tree supporting her weight. She hated the shy side of her. She didn't want to stutter, but it was a habit she had picked up because of Rupert's targeting. She wasn't always this way.
Then the Ravenclaw student held up her Transfiguration book, saying that she dropped it. She gasped, a hand flying to her mouth as she lost her balance and fell over again. "Dammit..." She muttered, brushing the dirt and dust off of herself again. She looked back to the boy, and heard his next words, to which she nodded and smiled. Her academic side immediately took over, and her stuttering went away. She probably look excited to the boy, overly excited, and hopefully he'd know it was because of him mentioning academics, of which Emmalia Malfoy absolutely, positively love to pieces.
"Yeah. It's what I do to pass the time. That's why my Transfiguration book is for someone in their eighth year, and I'm in my sixth year." Emma explained, stutter free. She watched as the boy put the book and cloak to the side and flexed his hand. Then she saw his hair turn silver and eyes flash a lighter shade of blue. She gasped in excitement; she had read all about metamorphmaguses, and she was absolutely obsessed, academically. "You're joshing me! Merlin! You're a metamorphmagus!" She exclaimed excitedly, rushing over to observe his hair and eyes a lot closer. Tag: Luca Barnett | Words: 400 | Notes: Emma fell! xD Trololol
