Draco was an arrogant, spiteful bully. His narcissistic nature stemmed from his being spoiled by his parents throughout his childhood. He believed himself superior to most people because of his family’s pure lineage as well as great wealth and social standing. He behaved cruelly to mudbloods, blood traitors, Gryffindor students, and anyone who he considered below him. For much of his youth, Draco took after his father, Lucius Malfoy, as a role model and frequently boasted about his family's influence and wealth. It's not that he's much better now, but rather that he doesn't necessarily hold the same ideals. Whatever he says is from old habits, he doesn't care as much about blood status anymore. Well, he tries not to, but every once in awhile he'll catch himself thinking or saying something.

He is quite intelligent and quick-witted, capable of deducing things and coming up with clever plans based on a small amount of information. He'd been taught how to think on his feet from the moment he could actually use his feet. He's also very determined to see projects all the way through, no matter the size or importance. It's a a bit of a pride thing, not being able to finish what you begin is despicable (or something like that). The Malfoy pride is still present and rears its (sometimes) ugly head whenever an opportunity presents itself (quite often, really). The only thing that's changed is that he can hardly give a crap about blood status or social standings. He's seen too many people die-- too much blood of the same color.

One of his two closest friends perished in a fiend fire that he couldn't control. The other is even more lost and confused than Draco. He has a few other friends scattered about Slytherin, or at least he did. Draco has changed drastically since the war, but that doesn't mean all his old habits have died. He's working on getting over his prejudices, but abelist slurs still slip out. This tends for people to not want to talk to him and therefore his friendship levels are rather low.

He doesn't really know how to have an actual friendship. Crabbe and Goyle were too dull to have their own sides in any disagreement. He's never been taught how to treat a friend, only how to manipulate those to do his bidding. That being said, he may eventually like to try.

Still, those two categories are unlikely to be filled considering that most of the world hates him. It can be quite lonesome at times (even if there's someone willing to hex him at any corner).

As far as lovers go, Draco hasn't had many. Well, he's actually never had any. There had been a brief romance with Parkinson, but he had been too distracted by Vodlemort for it to go anywhere. After the war ended there had been a few sloppy kisses with various genders in darkened rooms, but nothing more than that. It's never felt right, not enough of an emotional connection. He really is someone who would thrive on the emotional and physical bond in a relationship.

So, we're cousins. Second cousins, at least, so maybe we could do something with that. I was thinking like maybe Draco and Emma have seen each other before, or like he mistakes her for Lauren? Because Lauren is Emma's little sister, and she's in Slytherin, and he could have seen Lauren around? Or maybe mistake Emma for Alexandra, Emma's step sister? I don't know, what do you think? We could go with either plots, and whatever we do, I can start.

Draco is good with names and faces so it wouldn't be likely that he'd confuse her with any of the siblings. He'd know exactly who she was since he purposely spent his entire life having nothing to do with her family. He wouldn't have acknowledged their existence in any form until after the war. Nowadays he would try to avoid her for the way his family treated hers. Though, if they were to ever run into each other he'd want to apologize. I think their relationship would be strained until either enough time had passed on or something drastic happens to push it along (whether for better or worse).

Well, I'd like 'for better,' haha, but we should see how it plays along. I can understand how their relationship would be strained. It's kinda like how Tonks' family was sort of "shunned" in a way. It's kind of like with the Tonks family, except even more intense since they share the family name, he also didn't go to school with Tonks. Heyoooooo. Since I figured I better get goin on plottin and yeah THESE BBIES SHOULD MEET. Luca's in his final year, so I'd imagine Draco and Luca would probably end up being in some of the same classes. I think they could be either neutral with each other, but Luca might still regard Draco with slight sense of apprehension/suspicion since Draco's family was associated with the Death Eaters before. Luca probably would be civil towards him, perhaps even flirt a bit with Draco since he is such a pretty guy lolol But I think, in general, they'd be frenemies? Slightly antagonistic towards each other at best. Maybe for a starter we could thread these two bumping into each other in the hallway or while Draco's walking to class, Luca could catch someone in the act of trying to hex Draco and stop the student from attempting to attack Draco. That could strike up a conversation between the two. What do you think?

The flirting would be very much returned, Draco's never really been able to stop himself once the company starts. Frienemies may be a bit ambitious to start out with, but I don't know how to combine allies + enemies (allenemies? this sounds like Biology).

I quite like the sound of that, it would put an interesting start to their relationship. Draco would be simultaneously thankful and embarrassed. Considering their very different histories there's a lot of ways that conversation could go.

Hey there, was wondering if you have time for a RP with an old enemy?  I don't know if they still hate each other (or not) but I think they should meet, their situation is pretty similar if you ask me. I don' know if they'll get along this time but well..who knows?  Hermione doesn't care about anyone anymore and well I thought they should meet sometime. Draco doesn't hate her at all anymore, he just feels and insurmountable amount of guilt over her. He was there when Bellatrix carved that filthy word into her arm and did nothing. It wasn't even as if he could do anything, but he still blames himself. That and all the other griefs he caused her. Hell, he still thinks that it was his fault Dumbledore died and Hogwarts fell (he never learned the truth). Of course he bullied her for almost all of their Hogwarts lives. So, no, he doesn't hate her, he just has no idea how to act around her. I absolutely have time to thread these two lovelies since they really do need to meet up. I have a starter for a thread where Draco is moping by Dumbledore's tomb if you'd like to go with that?
